Shop Positions We Are Actively Seeking:
Mechanical
Variety of duties including but not limited to motor and transmission removal and installation, brake conversions, LS swaps, tune ups, wiring and complete diagnostics. Full time.
Body Shop
Daily tasks include bodywork, paint, and light assembly. Full time.
Upholstery
Portage Trim is our custom upholstery shop. We are looking for a self motivated individual who has a passion for classic cars. Sewing experience is a plus but we are willing to train an enthusiastic, motivated individual who wants to learn and make a career out of this opportunity. Our ideal candidate must be someone who pays attention to detail and has an appreciation for classic cars. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and has the ability to communicate with our clientele. The ideal candidate would need to be a creative individual and would eventually have the ability to design their own custom interiors while interacting with our clients. This individual must have strong hands, the ability to lift 50 pounds and must be mechanically inclined. For the last 30 years we have had a first class reputation in the upholstery industry where our work wins awards around the country. We take pride in every job that leaves your shop. We custom sew interiors for classic cars, boats, airplanes & motorcycles. We also install stock interior kits, convertible tops, headliners and carpet. We offer a great salary and many fringe benefits throughout the year. We work a four 10-hour day schedule that allows you to be home at night with your family. Our work hours are Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. We offer Fridays as an opportunity to work OT hours that many employees like to utilize. We have job security as our work back-log is over a year long. We offer paid holidays and vacations. Sick time accrues for all employees upon hire date. We offer paid travel expenses to shows where you can see the cars you helped build at the events we have a presence in. We always want you to see the excitement on people’s faces when they see the car you helped build! We have a very passionate work environment and literally the BEST customers in the industry!
