I am truly humbled and honored to have been invited to participate in the Prestigious Women of the Show Car World Display at the Pittsburgh World of Wheels. Out of all the women in this industry, only five were hand-selected for this recognition, and I am incredibly grateful to be one of them.
I will be bringing my 1967 Chevelle—which, by traditional standards, is not a show car, but one that carries a deeply meaningful story. As many of you know, I built this car alongside my dad when I was just 15 years old, so it has been a part of my life for quite some time. Very little has changed since the day my dad surprised me by having Tank paint it my favorite color when I was 16 years old, aside from Gary updating the wheels and tires.
Only three men have ever worked on this car, each of whom held a special place in my life, and all three have since passed. That is why restoring or modernizing it has always been such an emotional challenge for me—this car is far more than metal and paint; it holds memories.
My Chevelle hadn’t seen the light of day in over 20 years until my Mongoose guys came to my house and pulled it out of my pole barn for our 10th Annual Octane Nights. The photo shared here was taken the very day they brought it to the shop.
This recognition is not solely about show cars—it’s about the stories behind the women who own classic cars and how we found our way into this industry. I hope you’ll take a moment to read this, and more importantly, come out to support the women being honored.

Mack Beggs , did you see this?
Congrats on retirement.
Bear always had the parts for old bikes when you needed them.
