Saturday Morning Car Club Tours
Do you belong to a car club? Did you know we host private shop tours for car c lubs? (Any kind of car club; not just Corvette clubs) It’s our pleasure to open our shop up, tell you our story and let you see first hand the quality of work we do. It always amazes us to hear people say “I didn’t know you did that” or “I wish I would have known about you sooner” when we have people tour our facility for the first time. We know we say it all the time but we truly are your “One Stop Restoration Shop”. If you belong to a car club and would like to schedule a private tour of our facility for your club members please feel free to call Tricia at (330) 296-1963 to get on the schedule. Today we were honored to have the Mahoning Valley Corvette Club with us for a private tour this morning! We appreciate everything their club does for us. 2018 Piston Powered Auto Rama
The Cleveland Piston Powered Auto Rama was very good to many of our customers on both the Mongoose side of the business and the Portage Trim side of the business!! There were a lot of First Place smiling faces among our customers who participated in the show over the weekend!! Congratulations to our valued customers who have also become dear friends of ours over the years. Derald & Betty bought their 1963 Grand Sport from us in 2013. This car was one of the best things that ever happened to them. They drive their GS all summer long and have so much fun going from car shows to the race track. Everywhere they go they are turn heads with their Blue #2! We are so happy to see them get so much enjoyment out of their Grand Sport. Congratulations on bringing home another First Place award!!

1941 Ford Coupe Takes First Place In Detroit Auto Rama
We would like to congratulate our Portage Trim customers Ken & Jill on their 1st Place Win at the Detroit Auto Rama over the weekend. Ken & Jill came to Portage Trim all the way from Michigan to have their interior custom made by our first class team. This build has been a long time coming for Ken & Jill. We couldn’t be happier for them! Special thanks to Todd Reiter of Reiters Metal Craft for steering them in our direction. All of the work Todd did on Ken’s car was outstanding. Thank you for partnering up with us to make Ken & Jill’s dream come true!!

Spring Is In The Air
The shop has been very busy this week. As one car gets picked up; one fills its spot by getting dropped off the same day. The 1953 Buick Roadmaster Wagon was here for us to replicate the original interior. Hand sewn patterns custom made by Portage Trim took this Buick right back to 1953. After the Portage Trim side of the shop finished their upholstery work it moved over to the Mongoose side of the shop for mechanical work. The beauty of having Portage Trim and Mongoose Motorsports under the same roof is being able to do anything and everything to your classic car. The 1965 Cobra came to Mongoose for paint work. If you have any work that you would like to have done before Spring this is the time to be thinking about it. If you wait; it could be too late!
